Reasons Why Ottawa, Canada Is Amazing.

Last week, I just came back from my first travel outside Australia, Canada. I didn’t think that it was going to be that interesting but when I arrived, it was a lot more interesting than I thought it would be. So I’d share some great reasons to why Ottawa, Canada is amazing.

THINGS TO DO

The day I arrived in Ottawa, I went to my hotel room I booked couple days prior to visiting. I stayed at the luxury Westin Hotel. I then started to look up activities to do during my one week stay. I found many things such as whitewater rafting, go biplane flying and even hiking in Gatineau.

First activity of the week, is whitewater rafting. I was told that the Ottawa river is one of the best rivers to whitewater raft on. Since it was the first time whitewater rafting, me and my guides sat in a large raft and they showed me what to do but mostly did all of the work. Eventually, they got me in a smaller raft with one of the guides supervising and got me to do a lot of the work they taught me. It was a lot of fun and highly recommend.

Gatineau is a city located across the river of Ottawa and there is an amazing hike you can do, spectate amazing houses and museums. The hike has amazing views overlooking the bright blue river and it was a great experience.

A highlight of the trip was definitely biplane flying. At the Canada Air and Space Museum, you have an option of going biplane flying. The experience went for about thirty-five minutes and we flew over the hills of Gatineau and over the Parliament Buildings. The pilot did many tricks with the biplane and it was so much fun. Highly recommend.

WHAT TO EAT

Personally, I never didn’t think that Ottawa had some great foods but I can tell you, I was wrong.

All of the week I went to the ByWard markets, because they’re many restaurant there you can eat at. A couple of the days, I went to a bistro called called Benny’s Bistro. It is a french-based bistro and they have amazing foods such as simple beef tartare, croissants and a goat cheese parfait. The foods weren’t expansive at all but still came out smelling fresh, delicious and great.

I also went to the Golden Crust Pizzeria. When I walked in, I honestly was speechless, the building smelt so great and fresh it smelt like cheese, meat and pepperoni. I wanted to see how great Ottawas pizza is and i can say for sure, they are amazing. Medium sized pizzas enriched with favourable cheese, meat and delicious sauce.

One more restaurant I went to was the Shinka Sushi bar. This sushi bar is top-notch. They have everything for everyone options like gluten free, vegetarian friendly foods and many vegan options. This sushi place is the best i’ve ever been to. The sushi was made right in front of you, so they were always fresh. There’s nothing more I can say about it because it was just great and Ottawa has some very great sushi.

CONCLUSION

These are my very reasons why Ottawa, Canada is amazing. They have lots of great activities, beautiful nature, great hotel rooms, beautiful houses, very amazing restaurants and great for a family holiday overseas. Overall, these are my reasons why Ottawa, Canada is the best.
